Course admissions

Australia is a global leader in education and offers many undergraduate and postgraduate courses

Study at universities, secondary schools, English language and private colleges and vocational education institutes. All higher education in Australia is regulated by government legislation, and this helps them to maintain consistently high standards of quality.

English language courses

English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) are delivered through group work and projects that lay an emphasis on critical thinking and practical everyday skills, rather than just theoretical knowledge. ELICOS courses are offered by secondary schools, TAFE institutes, universities, private colleges and specialist English language centres. These courses are designed to help international students and visitors develop their English language skills so that they can fully participate in Australian life. In the case of international students, ELICOS courses provide a great way to develop your English language skills so that you can meet the English language requirements of your institution or simply develop confidence in your English abilities before beginning your studies.

Popular English courses include General English, English for Academic Purposes and Exam Preparation. Students can also combine study with a vacation and can opt to combine General English courses with a variety of cultural activities.

Undergraduate options

Entry into undergraduate courses requires you to complete a secondary school qualification that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate. You also need to satisfy the English language requirements. Bachelors degree programs generally take three years to complete. Students can enrol in a double or combined Bachelor degree program where they can dedicate their time to two major subjects of study.

Postgraduate options

Postgraduate courses are for students who have completed a bachelor degree. Masters degrees generally take 1-2 years to complete. They can be research based or courseware based. Before applying for these, you should have received a confirmed seat at a university and paid your tuition fee deposit.
